Meet our leadership

PASTOR DWAYNE BROWN & Lady TaShara Brown

Pastor Dwayne Brown and Lady TaShara Brown standing together in the Romans 116 Church sanctuary.

Before you walk through the door, it helps to know who will be standing at the front. Pastor Dwayne and Lady TaShara lead Romans 116 Church — and you will most likely meet them both at the coffee table before the service starts.

Lead Pastor

Pastor Dwayne Brown

Pastor Dwayne leads Romans 116 Church with the conviction the church is named for — that the gospel is the power of God unto salvation, and that it is for every one who believes.

You will find him preaching on a Saturday morning, and just as often you will find him in the car park in a Romans 116 T-shirt, handing out backpacks at Bridge the Gap or loading toys at the Christmas Giveaway. That is the point: this is a church that goes outside its own walls.

If you are visiting for the first time, come to the 10:15 coffee. He would rather meet you over a cup than shake your hand on the way out.

First Lady

Lady TaShara Brown

Lady TaShara serves alongside Pastor Dwayne across the life of the church — in worship, in the women's ministry, and in the work of making sure nobody who walks in on their own stays on their own.

She is a familiar voice from the platform and a familiar face at every outreach, from the back-to-school festival in August to the toy tables in December.

If you have a question about the children's ministry, where to sit, or what to expect, she is a good person to ask.

For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
