Our Story

Pastor Dwayne Brown was given a dream in 2017 of a church he was to pastor. He wrote down the vision along with the scripture Revelation 19:13 —

“And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.”

Pastor Dwayne shared this vision with his wife, Lady TaShara Brown, who immediately went to work creating the nonprofit and completing the business paperwork to bring the dream to life.

Knowing they wanted to gather in a church building, the couple found themselves one day driving through Lynnwood, WA. Lady Brown encouraged Pastor Dwayne to stop at Calvary Tabernacle UPC to inquire about using the space for his ordination service. To their surprise, the leadership at Calvary Tabernacle not only welcomed the idea—but also offered to rent the space for weekly services.

With great joy, a partnership was formed, and on January 1, 2020, Blood Stain Church held its very first worship service.

Growing Forward

Since its launch, Blood Stain Church has steadily grown in both vision and impact. In a bold step of faith and expansion, we relocated to the Renew Church building—a space filled with fresh purpose and divine promise.

With this new beginning, we embraced a new name: Romans 116 Church, reflecting our unwavering commitment to the Gospel and the transformative power of Christ.

Though their name and location have changed, the mission remains the same: to be the hands and feet of Jesus in our community.

Community Outreach

Romans 116 Church is committed to serving families and individuals beyond Saturday mornings. We are proud to host Easter, Back-to-School, and Christmas outreach events, offering both spiritual encouragement and practical support to those in need.
